Fair Trade Bureau Standards
Agreed Terms and Conditions of your Membership:
Your site must be fully legal, and sell legal products.
Your site may not install any adware or overtake their browser.
Your site must have a ssl certificate installed on the order page or use a secure payment merchant.
Your site must display a physical address and phone number.
You must have a fully functioning support service and answer all support requests within 24hrs.
You must commit to responding to all buyer complaints within 7 days.
You must be committed to direct negotiation with your buyer for a positive resolution.
RESOLUTION TERMS.
- You must honor any guarantees, or refunds etc.
- You must try to resolve any customer disputes before they file a complaint.
- You must clearly display on your Website all your site policies

Fair Trade Bureau provides for open negotiation between Buyer and Seller.
RESOLUTION PROCESS
If a Buyer has filed a complaint through the Fair Trade Bureau's Resolution Service you must attempt to resolve the matter with the Buyer yourself. If you and the Buyer are unable to resolve the matter, you may request a mediator to assist you.
You must respond to your customer's complaint within 7 days. The resolution process must take no longer than 30 days.
IMPORTANT!!
Should your store generate unresolved customer disputes, your membership will be suspended. Once the problem has been rectified your membership will be reinstated. Fair Trade Bureau helps you resolve all matters as quickly as possible.
Any matters unresolved for more than 30 days may result in a termination of your membership. |
